Welcome!
Welcome to our website! We are Students
for
Life
of
Madison, UW-Madison's
pro-life student organization dedicated to promoting a
culture of life on campus:
life for the unborn child, life for the
elderly, and quality of life and care for the thousands of women
pressured into or misinformed about abortion every day. Through
education and outreach, as well as constructive, compassionate dialogue
with people on all sides of the abortion debate, we
work to advance the message that all life has value and worth and that
women deserve support during an unexpected pregnancy. Please explore
our site and consider
joining us in our mission!

40 DAYS FOR LIFE | Wednesday,
September 28 - Sunday, November 6
This ongoing event is part of a nationwide effort to pray for an
end to abortion while counseling women in crisis on the sidewalks
outside abortion facilities. Countless lives have been saved through
the 40 Days for Life movement, and you can help! Could you spare an
hour or two to pray outside the Madison Planned Parenthood, or offer
some words of love and life to an abortion-minded woman?
Our group will be praying from 4:30-6:00 on Saturday, October 29. We
will catch the 3:48 bus (#6) from the Grainger Hall bus stop. We will
also hold vigil on Saturday, November 5; stay tuned for the time and
bus information.
Can't makethe 29th? Check out our special
Facebook event to find someone to pray with, or negotiate a ride
out to the Planned Parenthood site. Ready to sign up? Click here for the online vigil
calendar.

Why Pro-life?
"Women's issues, women's rights and human rights have always been a
passion of mine.... [but my] abortion was unnatural. It was an act of
violence against my own body and the body of my developing child."
Abortion is a sign that something is not right in a woman's life or in the life of a family, but it does not fix the problem. To be "pro-life," then, we not only love the child but the woman who carries him or her.
